Staff & Philosophy
We are a group of practitioners that love what we do and it shows - through our dedication to our patients' healing, high standards of integrity and constant yearning to be better healers. This means you get the best treatment, attention and care possible.
The Natural Healing
The way we care for our patients is based on
individualization, integration and trust.
Each person is unique and thus there are no “standard” sessions or treatment plans; we customize all care to the specific needs of the patient
Integration – We value the interconnection of mind/body/spirit, as well as the collaboration of the team to collectively recommend and oversee comprehensive, holistic treatment plans
Trust – Healing is truly a “we” event. We build strong relationships with each patient so they have a partner in healing.

Dr. Matthew Usel, D.C.
I am a Fort Collins native who graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry followed by a Masters in Bio-Medical Science. The next phase of my education brought me to Portland, Oregon where I attended the University of Western States and earned my degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Now that I am working a as clinician my main goal is to set up the best environment for the body to heal itself. This includes incorporating the best knowledge and techniques from many branches of health care with an approach that will always begin with the most conservative care first. Away from the office, my appetite for adventure drives me to explore this great state with a snowboard, backpack or four wheel drive truck. In the future, I look forward to providing top quality health care to residents of Colorado for many years to come. One thing that most people can agree on is that the healthcare system in this country needs a major overhaul. A successful and sustainable system of healthcare needs to be centered on the patient. Until we can enact change and complete this shift, we must tend to the needs of all patients in the present time. Modern medicine has given us a longer life span and fewer deaths due to pathogenic disease and trauma. Now that we are living longer, we must take care of the bodies we have and combat the most common form of aliments that we currently see. The top three major causes of death and disease are heart disease, cancer and stroke. These sources of dysfunction are all related to our lifestyles. It is difficult to make a large change in one’s life but what will truly last is making a small change in every aspect of our lives. We must learn the best way to sit, stand, move, eat, exercise, and complete our daily tasks in way that uses our bodies correctly and doesn’t lead to breakdown and dysfunction.
As a doctor of chiropractic, it is my goal to be that spark for change while also seeing that my patient’s work toward achieving stability in all three major aspects of health: Physical, Nutritional and Psychological/Emotional. Some of these things I will provide directly, some the patient will do and others we will find together through our own research and resources. True health is a journey and a great place to start is with the physical body. That is why I became a chiropractor to be able to help as many people as I can in my home state of Colorado. Before achieving my doctorate of Chiropractic at the University of Western States in Portland, OR; I earned my bachelors in Biochemistry and masters in Biomedical Science from Colorado State University. Throughout my travels; before, during and after college, I kept coming across people who love what they do and would do everything in their power to keep doing it for as long as they can. We are only given so many years to live.
